Stearns 2007-03-24
From Florida Free Culture Wiki
Rep. Cliff Sterns (R-FL-06) is having four town hall meetings this Saturday, March 24, in Gainesville. This is an opportunity to address questions directly to the Congressman.
Stearns is the ranking member on the Commerce, Trade, and Consumer Protection subcommittee and a member of the Telecommunications and the Internet subcommittee, so he's well-placed on many of our issues.

[edit] Net neutrality
- Nile
- When AT&T was allowed to reassemble, some weak network neutrality provisions were part of the agreement (with the FCC). Due to last only two years, shouldn't network neutrality be written into law for all Internet Service Providers?
- Note: Rep. Stearns voted against Net neutrality twice in the last Congress. However, he may have changed his tune.
