Officer introduction
Opportunities:
- Florida Linux Installfest
- Remaining free stuff from FyPC available
- Universities Allied for Essential Medicine (UAEM) listserv if interested
- The Constitution in the 21st century – Grand Reading Room 6:30 pm
- Select Start at the Orange and Brew, Thursday 9 pm
Free Culture Introduction – The Grey Album
Free Culture Events/Activism:
- CopyNight at the Orange and Brew - monthly social gathering of people interested in discussing copyright law and building social ties between artists, engineers, filmmakers, academics, and lawyers. Fourth Tuesday of every month.
- Jimbo Wales coming to the University of Florida. Eldo to work on co-sponsorship with Accent to get him here in the spring.
- MixTrade – taking advantage of “fair use�? and trading mix cds with five other people (Pedro)
- Cereal Solidarity – combat ridiculous patents – need PR, flyers, ad/press release to the Alligator
- Colloquium Series – ideas for speakers?
- Podcast – for Florida Free Culture (Pedro)
- Informational Technology Advisory Committee – someone from FFC should apply so that our ideas are represented
- Professor E-mails – inform professors of the benefits of Mozilla Firefox and also encourage the distribution of class documents in open formats such as .pdf (Ashley)
- Organize ICARUS panel
