Website changes
We’ve been tinkering with the site a bit. If anything abruptly breaks, please forgive us and let us know.
So far, we’ve made the sidebar much less cluttery and had some minor stylistic changes. The biggest change will be shifting a lot of our content from WordPress “Pages” to our wiki.
Let us know what you think! Comments, criticisms, and suggestions are all extremely welcome. Remember, Free Culture is about participatory culture!

Okay, I re-enabled the XHTML validator and added a CSS validator. I split off the site controls into their own header (”Site Controls” — “Meta” isn’t very informative). I gave XHTML and CSS their own header (”Web standards”) and put the RSS feed in there, too, since I wasn’t sure what to do with it.
To do:
* Install WpLicense and configure
* Re-enable links to LUG and UAEM
* Limit Categories to one link (e.g. “Browse archives by category” which then lists all the categories)
* Add a link for Archives (e.g. “Browse archives by date” which then displays archives by month)
* Add CopyNight logo and info
* Move pages to the wiki and cleanup what stays here (use redirects for deleted pages)
* Install a real calendar for events
* Redo the site theme with dynamic lengths rather than static (e.g. em or percentage) — someday
Also, create a Technorati profile for the site and (maybe) add their little thingie to our site. This was assigned to Jared.
What do you think about installing a planet to aggregate members’ blogs? Or some other means of sharing info about our members?
Oh, also, we need to add our email address or a way to get in touch with us.
Jared did the Technorati bit.
I think we should add a link on the main page to our wiki. You can find the link in a blog entry, but I don’t think there is one on the sidebar.
