Day Against DRM - Oct. 3

Day Against DRM

Painting the 34th Street Wall
Sunday, 6:30 pm
Meet in parking lot at West Gate Plaza (Publix). Supplies provided. You may get paint on your clothes — dress appropriately.

Anti-DRM Sign-waving
Tuesday, 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Corner of W. University Ave. and W. 13th St.
Supplies provided, or bring your own sign. We’ll also have flyers and (hopefully) stickers to hand out to passerby.
You don’t have to stay the whole time — stop by when you have a spare minute.
Protesting at the corner of 13th and University is a Gainesville tradition — this is the height of rush hour, so there’ll be a lot of traffic passing by.

Talk by IT security expert Jordan Wiens
Tuesday, 6:30 pm
CSE E221
Jordan is a network security engineer for the University of Florida and was a member of the winning Capture the Flag team at this year’s DEFCON hacker convention. Jordan will lead a discussion about DRM. We’ll also screen some videos from FreeCulture.org’s “Down With DRM” video contest. Free and open to the public.
