You can try software, get advice at event

A group of University of Florida techno-wizards and a Gainesville group of computer enthusiasts are teaming up Saturday to let residents try out software programs and get advice from local computer professionals.

Florida Free Culture, a UF student group that discusses intellectual property and technology policy, and the Gator Linux Users Group, a group of Gainesville enthusiasts of the computer operating system Linux, are hosting the exhibit at Books-A-Million, 6111 Newberry Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The exhibit will include demonstrations of new programs and free CDs and literature for guests to take home.
