Intro to GarageBand by SCO

Just passing the word along: Sonic Computing Organization (SCO) will hold a free workshop on using audio editing/processing tools. The attendees will learn how to manipulate recorded sounds using Apple’s GarageBand.

Those who are interested in creating artwork with sounds are welcomed to attend. No previous experiences on the audio editing program or music are necessary.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 31, 12:30 pm
Where: Room MUB147 (Computer Lab at the Music Building)
Open to all UF students / staffs

P.S. GarageBand isn’t free, but it is cool. Learning a bit about audio editing / production can open lots of new ways to create culture: remixing, podcasting, music production, for example. If you’re OK with using Macs anyway (and I know a few of you are), check it out. If you’re more concerned with freedom, check out Audacity.
