In preparation for its upcoming Free Your PC event, Florida Free Culture will host a training session for volunteers on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 11 am in Reitz Union room 283. Breakfast will be provided, courtesy of the Student Government Technology Cabinet.

At the training session (which should last no more than 1 hour), volunteers will learn how to use the fyPC installation software (a.k.a. “The Mostly Open CD”) and familiarize themselves with the workflow for the event. There have been some changes from the Fall. No special knowledge or skills are needed. Students as well as non-students are invited to volunteer.

Free Your PC will take place on Jan. 23 and 24, 10 am - 2 pm on the Reitz Union Colonnade. Volunteers are needed to staff the event, but need not stay the whole day. Volunteers unable to come to the Sunday training session should come to the Colonnade at 9:30 am on the 23rd to receive some brief training.
