Responses to SG Questionnaire

We received four responses to our questionnaire of Student Government candidates — which is actually a better turn-out than the Spring election.

We received no reply from either the Gator or Impact party, but from four independents: Dakota Cash (Rawlings/Yulee seat), Sean Cubillos (District B), Sam Miorelli (Hume), and Steven Roberts (Hume)

SG Candidate Questionnaire

As in the Spring, we’re surveying candidates in the upcoming Student Government election on their stances on the things we care about. SG, via direct spending or via lobbying, can influence many issues that are important to Florida Free Culture.

The following questionnaire was sent to both SG parties (Gator and Impact) and each independent candidate. We’ll post the results here before the election, as well as announce them at our Sept. 26 meeting.

Universities Allied for Essential Medicines

Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) is a student organization working to make medicines more available in poor countries by lobbying universities to change their patent licensing. There’s no chapter of UAEM at UF, but we’ve created a mailing list so people interested in starting one can work on doing so. To join, use the form below.
